Who Wrote the Book of Love?

If you're old enough, you may remember that hit song from the past.  Even if not, you may have asked the same question.  Well, we have the answer.  IT WAS JOHN!  Known by some as St. John, others the Apostle John.  He is accredited with authoring the New Testament books that bare his name, John, I John, II John, and III John.  His purpose in writing these books is explained in John 20:31; "These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (From the New International Version - NIV).

A few of John's Verses of Love

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  John 1:1 NIV

"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us."  John 1:14 NIV

"This is the message you heard from the beginning; We should love one another."  I John 3:11 NIV

"And this is love; that we walk in obedience to His commands.  As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love."  II John vs 6 NIV
